
Golden Turmeric & Cardamom Warm Oat Bowl

Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats (thick cut)
- 1.5 cups homemade almond milk or coconut milk
- 1 cup water
- ¼–⅓ tsp ground turmeric
- ¼ tsp ground cardamom
- ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1–2 dates, finely chopped
- 1 pinch of sea salt & a tiny pinch of black pepper (piperine may enhance curcumin bioavailability)
- For Topping: Fresh sliced banana or figs, 5-6 berries, 1 tbsp almond butter, and toasted pumpkin seeds
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the rolled oats, plant milk, water, chia seeds, turmeric, cardamom, chopped dates, salt, and black pepper.
- Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then immediately reduce to low.
- Simmer for 8–10 minutes, stirring frequently, until creamy and velvety.
- Stir in the vanilla extract just before removing from heat.
- Pour into a wide warm bowl and layer with fresh banana or figs, a drizzle of almond butter, and toasted pumpkin seeds.
